Prince of the Eastern Province, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz said that beside what the charity or volunteer represents of a major humanitarian value of the, it has a positive role can not be ignored in the social and economic reconstruction processes, as its spread in all its forms and shapes considered a strong indication of the health of communities, There is no doubt that the generous support of the Government of King Salman bin Abdulaziz to the charity ,the diversity of its institutions and guidance for all officials to provide help and support and assistance for this sector, it had the greatest impact in the continuity of successes of charity and voluntary institutions and its spread localy and abroad quantity and quality.
His Highness during the general assembly meeting of the friends of patients in Asharqia Chamber on Tuesday morning, April 26, 2016 which witnessed a remarkable crowd, said: the eastern region has witnessed a progressive development and growth in charitable activities, that elevates the value of social responsibility, which is the most important thing the communities need in order to achieve what it seeksof prosperty, and among the pros that history recorded of this area, that this solidarity work has emerged from it, as the first social action interested in the affairs of the patients in the Kingdom, both in terms of services provided to them or from programs that benefit them and helping in the provision of their needs, was the Committee of Friends of patients created by the Asharqia Chamber for more than three decades, anexample to be followed in the field of voluntary work, not only in the region but also in the Kingdom as a whole, the Committee since its founding until today has made big steps to confirm its message and to work according to its vision reaching what it seeks of goals in community service.
His Highness said: you all had the hand of giving in the making of many health projects that helped the structure of this soliderity entity and contributed in achiving the targets it is seeking, this is not a strange from your faith and keenness for solidarity, assistance and unity and above all, wishing the reward of God, and i stressed repeatedly in more than an occasion, our sincere belife in the importance of charity work and that its spread, enhancing and originating it is a necessity for the unity of communities, and I in this occasion call my brothers and my sons citizens to maintain the charity work values, and work according to its paths and requirements.
Also his highness has given his thanks to the keeness and interest of the workers and supporters of the committee for their keeness and interest in its work and the active participation in the implementation of their programs.
For his part, Dr. Director General of Health Affairs in the region and general secretary of the Friends Committee patients region Saleh Ben Ali Al Saluk has expressed his pride of the kingdom vision 2030, announced by His Royal Highness Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, which is the biggest development plan in the history of our precious kingdom, is considered the biggest national economic transformation plan worldwide, and the reason for optimism of bright development future by the help of God ,is the privatization of health, which means the health a more efficient service and an effective competion in the care and adoption of the highest medical and technical standards and bringing in skilled minds in this axis of ambitious vision, and God willing we are to see a promising social and economic future is and we will make our modern history with national minds and hands that derives its giving from the rational path of our governors. Saluk said about the Committee of Friends of patients, that the committee has always found the care, support and attention by the Prince of the eastern region, referring to the participation of His Highness the programs of the Committee including visiting patients to check on them and knowint their needs which has the greatest impact in easing them, and that its impact extends also to health service providers and the businessmen, which contributes in elevating the work of the Committee.
Al Saluk thanked the businessmen supporting the activities of the Committee, which reflects the success of the humanitarian volunteer work in the region, and the high level of awareness of the importance of participation, empathy, cooperation and the feeling of the value of charity and its importance in the public service.
And he went on by saying that the meeting of the general assembly this year reviews the activities and achievements of the committee in 2015, this committee which was established in 1402 at the hands of a group of businessmen in the eastern region in partnership with some of the officials in order to enhance the humanitarian work and serve patients from the people of the region, where it presented a model in the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors in service, support and financing to help patients, contributions of the businessmen in the Committee during the year 2015 has exceeded the amount of six million four hundred and fifty thousand riyals through their visits to eight hospitals in the region and provided the needs of patients.
The prince of the region has recived souvenir by the Committee presented to His Highness by the Chairman of Asharqia Chamber and the vicar of the Friends of the patients in Sharqia Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Ataishan.
In conclusion, His Highness the Prince of the region has honored the former chairman of the Friends of patients Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Shaibani and also honored supporters of the Committee.
